Social Studies - Graphing

1st, Friday, November 2019

In social studies, we have been doing about Maori treaties and how they were trading with European for example trading Europeans gave Musket to Maori and they gave fruits or foods to Europe. That caused a lot of problems for Maori they started to kill each other because of Europe.
Here's a graph shows the Population of Maori and European.

This graph shows the Population of Maori and European, I don't know if you can see the graph properly if you can't my bad. But this is what we did yesterday.

Maori Religion

In social studies, we have been learning about the Treaty Of Waitangi. Learning about Maori religion, stories behind them, etc.

Discuss the idea of Mythology/stories in religion, and the role myths and stories played in society.
- To help us understand their culture and beliefs.
- To spread the story of our ancestors.
- Educate people.

What are the similarities are there between the myths and stories of Maori and first British Missionaries??
- Both had Beliefs
- Art
- Both had Gods.

Why would the difference between Maori beliefs and English beliefs cause conflict??
- Morales
- Treated different compared to European
- Ways of worship

This poster is about Tangaroa a Maori God that a lot of Maori people believed in it and I wrote a short story on the poster hope you like it. I'm out of words I don't know what I
m saying anymore...

Cultural Unit - Home Economics

18, Wednesday, September

This Term we have been looking at a Cultural Unit in Home Economics and learned about New Zealand foods. So far I have learned about different types of recipes for New Zealand foods, Nz Traditions, Kiwi foods, how they set up their food when they're about to eat it.

I know I have learned this because of the practical work we did together as a group and learning from each other if we make mistakes. In this practical we made Scones, Jam Drops, Pizza, Souvlaki, Vegetarian Sushi, and we made few mistakes and learned from that mistake. Most of the foods we made were from different cultures type. Different cultures from outside settled in New Zealand and shared their food with others.

Skills I have learned from the practicals are learning how to cook foods that I never made pretty much and knowing some different types of tactics.
Working with other people in my group has been really awesome and wonderful, once I was sick and I wasn't able to help my team out but what they did they made pizza for me which was so nice of them, they put a lot of effort on it I enjoy working with my team or group.

Social Studies - Stone Age Art

29, Thursday, August 2019

In Social Studies we have been doing about Stone Age and today we were told to paint on the walls about Stone Age. Here are some pictures for our classes Stone Age Art...
And Videos

In these photos, you can see that our class are painting and most of them used paintbrush, sticks, and hands you cannot really see but most of them used each stuff to paint.

Explain why and how they made art??
Early they used materials like stone, ivory, and bone. They made paints from natural pigments using iron oxide to create scenes of animals on walls deep in caves.

Where is the Stone Age Artwork found??
It is usually found in Caves a lot.

The art that I was doing was about people hunting for a Deer together.

Science - Circuit Board Of An Comupter!

Circuit Board... What do we know about Circuit Board??
Hmm... It's a closed path through which sn electric flows or may flow. A Power source that is connected to two or more components eg. light bulbs, or computer circuits They are called a series of circuits.

Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Build - Up

PCBs are made of multiple layers of Core, Prepreg,  and Copper Foil.

Core:
There are 2 types of Core.
One is things made out of metal on the Circuit Board or PCB.
Image result for metal core printed circuit board

Second is Core that is used in PCB, underneath the Core they have whole bunch of threads that receives instructions and performs the calculation.

Prepreg:

Prepreg is a Carbon Fiber that is used to stick the core layers together.

How does Circuit Works Or PCB??

In our bodies, our heart produces the pressure to make the blood circulate, a generator or battery produces the pressure or force to push electrons around the circuit board. In our body Walls of blood vessels impede the flow and the smaller the blood vessel, the more resistance to flow. Some of the pressure produced by our heart is just for pushing blood through the blood vessel. As electrons move through wires, they bump into atoms. This impedes the flow of the electrons, the wires offer resistances to the flow of the current.

Electric circuits are composed of wires and other components like bulbs, transistors, computer chips, and motors. Wires are made out of metals called conductors that have a low resistance to current. A Chip is a tiny piece of silicon, usually around one centimeter squared. A chip may be a single transistor ( Its a piece of silicon that amplifies electrical signals or serves as an on/off switch in computer applications).

The most important elements in an electronic circuit are the transistors. Diodes are the tiny chip of silicons that act as valves to allow current flow in only one direction. The other electronic components are passive elements like resistors and capacitors.

Resistors look like this...
The resistor is an electrical component that limits or regulates the flow of electrical current in an electronic circuit. It can be used to provide a specific voltage for an active device such as transistors.
Image result for resistors

And Capacitors look like this...
Capacitors are used in charge pump circuits as the energy storage element. Capacitors are connected in parallel with the DC ( Direct Current) power circuits.
Image result for capacitor

The third passive circuit element is the inductor, which stores energy in the form of a magnetic field.
An inductor/ coil or reactor is a passive two-terminal electrical component which resists changes in charges in electric current passing through it. It consists of a conductor such as wire, usually wound into a coil. The Energy is stored in a magnetic field in the coil as long as current flows.

This Picture here...

All components are through-hole mounted, they are placed on top of the board, their electrical connections ( the legs) pushed through holes in the PCB, and then soldered from the bottom of the board. There are two thicknesses of track the thin tracks used for signals requiring little current flow, and the thicker tracks are used for the component power supply a positive or negative that requires a great current flow.

Social Studies - Graph

In Social Studies, 10Hh started to share with our class about how long do you stay on your device. We had to download an app and it records the amount of time you've used.
Here is the graph about the longest Device used...

This is the Graph about People used there devices for the longest. Sadly I this graph doesn't allow me to add which people used there device for long but you can see how long they've used the highest is 43 Hours and the lowest is 30min.

This next graph is about what type of devices they used most...

This is what amount of people from 10Hh used most of there devices.

School Uniforms - English Essay Writing

Should schools get rid of uniforms??

How would you feel when school will get rid of school?

I think schools shouldn’t get rid of uniforms Because, if the schools get rid of school uniforms the students will get bullied in school. They’ll compare how expensive clothes they’re wearing and also the school rating will go down. If students won’t wear uniform’s this might cause a lot of Bullying, Self-conscious and terrified.

In school students get bullied for different kinds of reason’s and there is a lot of reason. If schools got rid of uniform’s these takes to a reason that students get bullied, how?, well first of all they compare their clothes to each other for example, I'm wearing the most expensive and branded shoes, and the other student is wearing a cheap pair of shoe so they get picked up by rich students. But not only shoes they also compare their accessories, etc.

Students get Self-conscious (Embarrassed) every single time, now you're wanting to know how do students get embarrassed by wearing clothes. Well first thing, talking about school uniforms students don’t get embarrassed if all of them are wearing the same uniforms but when it comes to mufti or schools got rid of uniforms students get self-conscious because they don’t know what to wear or not or even though they go to school in their mufti clothes they’ll be shy, they’ll be confused pretty much.

In school students try to look cool, stunning other sorts of stuff, but their friends or other students don’t know what's the secret behind him or her for being cool. Student’s wearing cool clothes makes them look cool but their friends won’t know how expensive or cheap are the clothes, so when students wear cool clothes to make them self look cool but they are terrified because most of them don’t want to let their friends or other students around them know that it’s a cheap type of clothes and if that happened they’ll get bullied and getting exposed in front of students.

Another thing about not wearing school uniforms is that people and students from outside can get in school easily because they'll be wearing random clothes and not school uniforms. This can cause a lot of problems in schools. So should we keep uniforms or not??

English Essay Writing

In English, we have been doing Essay writing and I was supposed to finish this last term and I'm posting this term which is quite dumb but that's me... I have done my all paragraphs but the thing I messed up was I created different docs for two different paragraphs and now I can't find it because I didn't name it which is dumb of me.
This is my first two paragraphs but the second paragraph is not completed because it's on other docs that I cannot find it.

 Chapter 47

“You fight for a man who will always hate you just because of what you are.”

In this Scene, Zelie releases a heavy sigh. “ You fight for a man who will always hate you just because of what you are.” This means Inan fights for his father to protect Orisha and destroy magic. Even though his father hates him but Inan still fights for him. Inan is a maji as well but his father doesn’t know about it, this happens in life too where a person is in trouble and the other person tries to fight and help that person even though the first person hates him, also friends as well.
Chapter 79

“He’s a stranger. A Soldier. The shell of little prince”

In this Scene, King Saran tortured Zelie and its interesting about how Zelie became an empty “shell”. Zelie believed in Inan but he trapped Zeilie in the truth of his betrayal.
In Universal, human beings do torture each other, going back in days when it comes to slavery there are people that kidnap or betrayal to each other the same as in this chapter.
So this was my first two paragraphs that I had it and my other two are lost so if I'll be able to find it than I can post it today or else I have to make a new one which I don't want to do it.

Antartic Centre - ESOLF

On Wednesday, June 5th we went to International Antartic Centre in Christchurch. We Have seen a lot of things there but one thing I really liked was Hagglund. So I'm gonna talk about Hagglund for example what are the functions of it, Where can the Hagglund be ridden and much more.

What is Hagglund??
Well, Hagglund is a Vehicle that can travel across the ice, up and down hills, over crevasses and through the water. Before these Hagglund's were called Bandvagn and it was developed by Hagglunds for the Swedish Army.

What does Hagglund look like??

Image result for what is hagglund

This is what Hagglund looks from outside and the interior is pretty nice as well so I've got photos of my friends inside of the Huggland.

Image result for hagglund interior This is what the interior looks like of the Hagglund At the front of it. The back part of it looks something like...

THIS!!↓↓↓↓↓
Image result for hagglund interior That's where the passengers can sit and some can sit at the front. Also In Hagglund, there can be a total of 17 people in it which is pretty hilarious.

I've got photos of my friends and myself inside the Hagglund.

What's Interesting about Hagglunds??
It can drive like normal vehicles on the road, it can drive over tires easily but not only tires other things as well which I don't really remember.

Testing For Hydrogen Gas - Science

In Science, We have been doing Metallurgy Or you could just say Properties Of Metals. In this topic there was a bunch of experiments that we were told to do, well it depends on you that how much you want to do but I've done only one of them Which was Testing For Hydrogen Gas.

And The Acid is called Hydrochloric Acid.

Testing For Hydrogen Gas. hmm...
What do we know about Hydrogen Gas or Testing For Hydrogen Gas??

Well simply, it's just about making the Mg Ribbon (Magnesium) Dissolve in the test tube and the Hydrogen Gas will go into the boiling tube than you need a flaming splint to insert inside the boiling tube to make a POP sound. Yay. And how do you do that?? by adding Acid in a test tube than put the Mg Ribbon inside that test tube and then put the boiling tube upside down and hold it, grab your other test tube an put underneath the boiling tube then push it up so the Hydrogen Gas can go in Boiling Tube. Once the Mg is dissolved use flaming splint and insert into the boiling tube and it will go POP!!. Sorry, I'm bad at explaining.

Aim: To show that Hydrogen Gas is produced when a metal reacts with acid.

Equipment: A test tube, a boiling, Bunsen burner, wooden splint, a bottle of acid, a piece of metal, safety glasses.

Method: 1. Light Your Bunsen burner
              2. Add your sample of metal to your test tube. Add 2mL of acid.
              3. Carefully invert the boiling tube above the test tube containing the metal and acid.
Image result for testing for hydrogen gas

Now, this is just a demonstration of what to do I've got photos and videos to show you now...

In this photo, you can see the setup that my friend and I did and another thing you don't really need a Bunsen burner you can just use a lighter to light the splint.

Over here it's just showing the Metal inside the test tube and how big the metal is supposed to be I don't know if you can see it properly If you cannot then my bad.

In here as the metal was inside the test tube we added 2mL of acid into the test tube and then the metal started to dissolve and the Hydrogen Gas started to release. Then once that happened we just invert the boiling tube above the testing tube containing metal and acid.

I'm going to give an example in word equation and other ways.

Magnesium + Hydrochloric Acid → Magnesium Chloride + Hydrogen
In  this equation, we can see that Mg reacts with 2HCl and forms or produce MgCl2 and reacts with H2

Here is another similar equation of this...

Mg + 2HCl → MgCl2 + H2

What happened here is, Mg Has 2+ electrons to give to Hydrogen (H-Cl) and to make 2HCl Mg have to give both of its electrons to HCl, Mg has 2+ positive electrons
Also, I have a video to show you guys what does it sounds like and there will be people talking in the background so very sorry.
And another thing the video is a bit big so I cannot upload it on my Blog page but I'll put down the link so you guys can go ahead and look at it.
HERES THE LINK⇒ Testing For Hydrogen Gas Vid!!!!

What Am I learning??
I'm learning about Hydrogen Gas but not only that also about what can be made by Lead, Aluminum, Tungsten, etc.

How does this work show my learning??
It shows what I have done on this topic and what type of blog I'm doing on this topic.

What Am I wondering??
I'm wondering what happens when you add a lot of metals and acid in a test tube than invert above the boiling tube above test tube than light the splint and put inside the boiling tube will the POP sound or Noice will Go Louder or Won't go louder?

Science - Making Indicators

In Science, we have been learning things about Acids And Bases, later on learning about Indicators and the pH Scale. Well, I've done an experiment with a group and that experiment was about making indicators I've got some photos of the experiment we did...

So first we did was Added some Sodium Hydroxide and Hydrochloric acid into those test tubes and then we added Cranberry Juice into the test tubes so it will turn into a different color.

And then on the 2nd photo here we added a Litmus Indicator as you can see inside the test tube there's a paper those are Litmus paper which turns red in acidic.

Then we waited for a few minutes to see the changes in the litmus indicator and once we took it out the colors were changed into red but we also had Universal Indicator, look ahead on the 4th test tube from left as you can see the color is so dark because Universal Indicator has different color changes from strong acid to strong bases.

And at last this photo is not really important because they added acid and tea which turns out to be this so yeah...

What Have a Learnt??
I have learned how about Indicators and the pH scale also about Acids, Bases, and Alkali.

How does this work show my learning??
It shows what I've been doing in science for those weeks and learning new things.

Migration - Social Studies

In Social Studies we've been writing our own stories about Migration to New Zealand. Here I wrote a story and I hope you'll understand also if I had any mistakes please comment on my blog.

MIGRATION

Back in days in the 80s, there were used to be a “Slavery” it was the evilest thing ever happened in those days especially they used people under 18 for slavery. Well, this is more like a Slave Trade Triangle where Africans were kidnapped by European and took them to America and making them work, also trading them because they only need people who can work properly they don’t need people that are weak.

Around Afternoon Oliver, Noah, Harry and group of people aboard at Africa locating at Nigeria locating on West Africa looking for people that they can kidnap for slavery and migrating them to America to make them work for them. Amare and Adisa Both of them were brothers Adisa were 10 years old and Amera was 14 their parents we're kidnaped by a Group of Gang called KIDDING NAPS Which included Noahs Gang and took them to America to make them work for them and their Children don’t even know if they’re alive or dead, but their neighbor knows that they’re dead but their parents said no matter what happens our two sons have to go to New Zealand they cannot stay here they will stay with their Grandad. Amare and Adisa lived with their neighborhoods they had a poor house, no food, no running water, whooping cough, cholera no money or job all of them lived like a slave because of the Gang they come and take money from them and kidnap them at the same time if you don’t have money to give.

Adisa and Amera went to search for food for themselves as they were looking they saw the Gang coming and they hid behind the bush those people had guns, knives, etc. The Gang went to their village called Paternoster, West Coast where Amare and his brother lived, both of them spy at them and saw them taking their neighbor they wanted to help them but they couldn’t because they were helpless no one would try to fight back because they will get killed. As soon as they left both brothers came back and asked people “why didn’t you guys do anything, they said,” we’re helpless no one stands in front of them if someone did they’ll whip them off.

Amera was trying to encourage their village but it wasn’t working at all. A few Weeks later, Adisa was hungry and there was nothing to eat he told his brother Amera to let's go and gather food as they left, the Gang came back to their village and saw Adisa and Amera walking through the jungle they kidnapped them they screamed for help but no one was able to hear them. They covered their mouth with their hands so they won’t be able to scream.
As we’ve been taken to the ship which contained a lot of people almost every single one of them was crying most of them were just sad sitting alone like they got mental problems.

As the ship started moving Amera decided to jump off the ship when no one sees them, everyone was standing next to each other in a line and in groups Amera said, “this is our chance”, as both of them were about to jump, Oliver saw them jumping but couldn’t do anything and told Noah they said to take the boats and search for them, it was not far away till the shore. Once they got to shore they ran as fast they could, Adisa saw a fallen log where they can hide both of them went behind the log and crouch down. Oliver came to find them but they couldn’t find them, they went back to the ship and told Noah that we’ve lost them.

Two brothers were running towards another side of the jungle and got to the beach and found a sailing boat both of them decided to escape this land and go somewhere else but before they leave they started to grab some coconuts and other food or fruits they can find around them. As soon as they packed they stuff they left the land and found a map of the world Adisa asked, what is that?, Amera said It is a map our neighbor taught me how to use the map they also told me that we have to get to New Zealand, Wellington. After a lot of weeks, they reached India they stayed hidden because no matter what happens something might go wrong both of them stayed alert, got more food for their selves from the jungle and more Suddenly, Adisa saw Noah and his Gang he was shocked and told his brother both of them to rush to the boat as fast as they could all of the sudden Noah saw us running they started chasing us like a dog we hid and they lost us. Noah Once again spread their people around the graveyard they searched for us but couldn't find us we sneaked out and sail away. Now they’ve reached Indonesia both of us stayed for a couple of weeks because there was a storm ongoing and both of them were starving.

After a few weeks, they got their self a lot of food to help their hunger. As the storm was clear we started to move Adisa was sick but just a bit the same with Amera, they were still brave and had confidence they kept on moving an moving until they reach their destination and once for all they reached but the trouble was how will they find their Grandad they don’t have his photo but knows his name, Eban.

Eban was a fisherman in New Zealand, Wellington. He was Famous because he always gets a rare fish, he lives on his own. As we reached we tried to find a Fish Market where he sells his fish we went to a lot of markets but we could find him, in one of those fish markets I asked a stranger that do you know Eban? he said yes I know him really well he sells some of his fish to me, I asked the stranger do you know where he lives? He said yes, we were going to ask that could you drop us to his house but the stranger said his name loudly Eban!, we turned around and saw him and when he saw us he said Amera and Adisa! We cried and him too.

We went to his home and had a fresh bath, better food, better clothes and more, etc. We told him about what happened in those weeks and months. He took us to the hospital for a check-up, once we got home he told about our parents what truly happened. Since that time we've grown up better education, then later got jobs to earn money. Eban said there was a Gang Called KIDDING NAPS they died in the storm we said, that was the gang who kidnapped us and our parents also other people. Eban said, don’t have to be worry now because your gonna tell in the army about that slavery and kidnapping and they’ll protect them all.

Atom Science

Difference Between Nuclear Fusion & Nuclear Fission…

What is the difference between fission and fusion??
Both are nuclear reactions that produce energy. Fission is splitting of a heavy unstable into two lighter nuclei, fusion is the process where two lighter nuclei combine together releasing a vast amount of energy.

What is Nuclear Fission??
Nuclear Fission is a nuclear reaction or a radioactive decay process in which the nucleus of an atom splits into smaller. Well, it's pretty much splitting of a large atomic nucleus into smaller nuclei.

What does Nuclear Fission produce??
The Nuclear fission products are atomic fragments left after a large atomic nucleus. Large nucleus like that of Uranium fissions by splitting into two smaller nuclei (center of an atom).

What is the purpose of nuclear fission??
It produces energy for nuclear power and drives the explosive of nuclear weapons.

How does nuclear fission occur??
An unstable atom splits into two or more smaller pieces that are stable and then releases the energy process.

What Is Nuclear Fusion??
It's a Nuclear process, where the energy is produced by hitting or smashing together lights atom. Which is pretty much opposite reaction of fission.

What is Nuclear Fusion process??
It's the process in which two atomic nuclei are fused together into a larger single nucleus, releasing energy in the process.

What is the equation for nuclear fusion??
Important fusion reaction for practical energy generation is that between Deuterium and Tritium. Its produces Helium (He) and a Neutrons (n) then is written as
D + T → He + n.

What I’m Learning??
I’m learning about Atom Science means by small or smaller particles that can exist and about Nuclear Fission also Nuclear Fusion.

How does this work show my learning??
It shows by what have I done on this post about Fission and Fusion.

What I’m I wondering??

I’m wondering That “Which is the largest atom??”.

Another World - Diversity

In English, we've been learning about another world from Movies and books we watched and read ( red). This helped me with my learning's about knowing things that you've haven't known yet also from Human beings like learning mistakes that you've done.

The Willow Maid by Tanner could be connected to that human can take or own whatever you want for themselves.

Disney’s Tarzan helped me to understand a different culture and not “Hurting or Killing” animals.
Avatar The Great Divide could be connected to a real world like the process of developing character or human beings.

Barriers by Hinewirangi helped me to understand that people cannot pronounce your name but it takes a bit of time to practise.

Butterflies by Patricia Grace  helped me to understand that even if other people give or tell their opinions or reasons you should care about it or other way you could say respect their opinion even tho if you don’t agree.

Super girl, Welcome to Earth made me think about that she’s sad that their Daxam (planet) has been destroyed kind of and escaped from Krypton because of an explosion and now she’s at Earth.

Zootopia could be connected to the life of humans because they’re doing the work that humans do also achieving what you want.

Avatar The Water bending Master helped me to understand of real world material art and there cultures.

Slum Dog Millionaire Helped me to understand how hard is it to get a job and some people will do any job if they need money like doing job of a crime.

Medical Science - Too Confusion

We've been doing Medical Science for 5 or 6 weeks we had to publish something on our blog about Medical Science Research so I've decided to research about Horseshoe Crab Which looks something like this if you click⇒⇒ Here...⇐⇐

Why do Horseshoe have blue blood??
Horseshoe crab’s use hemocyanin (Transporting) too carries oxygen through their blood. It causes⇒ copper ⇐present in hemocyanin, their blood is blue.
Unlikely horseshoe crabs do not have hemoglobin (protein in red blood cells) in their blood.
Their blood contains Amebocytes which play a similar role to white blood cells of vertebrates in defending the organism against pathogens (Virus, Bacteria).

What is blue blood used for??
Horseshoe (crab) blue blood contains a chemical called Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL), which makes it thick or thicker when it comes in contract with toxins produced by bacteria that can cause life-threatening in humans.

Why do we harvest horseshoe crab blood??
Blue color from the copper used to carry oxygen around the crab's body.
Horseshoe blood reacts to the presence of bacterial endotoxins.

How much does Horseshoe crab blood cost??
On the world market, a quart (1.13 litres and in the US to approximately 0.94 litre) of horseshoe crab blood has a price tag of an estimated $15,000, overall revenues from LAL industry estimated at the U.S. $50 million per year.

How long can a Horseshoe crab go without eating??
Horseshoe crab can almost survive about 4 days out of the water, and how?? Well only if their gills are kept moist.

Horseshoe crab breeding

Horseshoe crab migrates to shallow coastal waters, a male selects a female to clings to her back. Male surround female and all fertilize together, the female digs the hole in the sand and lays her egg while males fertilize them. Female can lay between 60,000 and 120,000 eggs in batches of a few thousand at a times. It takes the egg about 2 weeks to hatch but shorebirds eat many of them before they hatch.

What am I learning?? I'm learning about Medical Science and facts about Horseshoe Carb.

How does this work show my learning?? It shows by the information I gave about Horseshoe Crab which contains Blue Blood.

What am I wondering?? I'm wondering why only horseshoe crab has blue blood and other crabs have red blood.
